Anders Kaseorg eb2c822d3f eslint: Enable object-shorthand avoidExplicitReturnArrows option.
This is equivalent in the absence of ‘this’ (which ESLint knows to
check for).

Lauryn Menard d5b7551f09 frontend: Implement 'invisible mode' feature.
Transitions the frontend of the web app to no longer use the
user status `away` field for setting a user's activity status
to be 'unavailable' (which is now a deprecated way to access
a user's `presence_enabled` setting).

Instead we now directly use and update the user's `presence_enabled`
setting for this feature.

Renames frontend code related to the feature to `invisible_mode`
vs `away`.

We lose node test coverage in `user_status.js` because we are now
using `channel.patch` to send these user setting updates to the
server.

Removes the temporary updates to `server_events_dispatch.py` (and
related tests) made in a previous commit, since we no longer have
or need the `away_user_ids` set.

Steve Howell c943447c6e emojis: Un-share the emoji.js module.
The mobile app was never able to use the shared
version of emoji.js, because, among other problems
with our code organization, the emoji.js module
is strongly based on a mutate-the-data paradigm
that doesn't play nice with React. The way
that we mutate data and violate encapsuation
here is something that we would mostly want to fix
without even trying to shared code with mobile, so
subsequent commits will try to extract some pure
functions into a shared module.

YashRE42 263a79738f user_status: Fix status emoji handling of deactivated custom emoji.
Previously, if a user had a realm emoji set as their status emoji and
someone deleted the realm emoji, the app would fail to initialize,
because of the error we throw from `./shared/js/emoji.js`.

This commit fixes this by just displaying the deactivated emoji,
similar to how we do when realm_emoji used as reactions are deleted.

As part of the fix, we add a function get_emoji_details_for_rendering,
which duplicates some of the logic used in `reactions.js`, we can
refactor to remove the duplication in `reactions.js` in future
commits.

Note that the following behaviour is a part of our design:
If a user sets their emoji to a particular realm emoji, say for
example "octo-ninja", and "octo-ninja" was then deleted, and a new
emoji was added with the name "octo-ninja", the user's status emoji
would change to show the new emoji instead of the deleted emoji.

Also note that in the `user_status.js` node test, we were able to
change the name for the 991 realm_emoji because it had not been
previously used anywhere in the test (possibly added as just a copy
paste artifact?).

Fixes: #20274.

Riken Shah 840ab92f7f user_status: Add architecture to support status emoji feature.
In this commit, we only update the existing architecture
to support the status emoji feature:

* We add the `user_status_emoji_info` map so we can
keep track of the users' staus emoji.

* Listen to the server event to update/set the
`user_status_emoji_info` map.

* Add `status_emoji_info` field, when getting user's data.

Riken Shah 6c003a7802 refactor: Move emoji details related code to `emoji.js`.
As `reaction.js` and `user_status.js` has similar code to
get emoji details, it makes more sense to extract this as a
single function.

Riken Shah 67f4851ded user_status: Add `get_emoji_info` function.
This is a prep commit to add the status emoji feature.

This function will add missing/extra parameters to the
emoji info object, that would need by the template to
render an emoji.

Steve Howell 30c7108955 zjsunit: Remove rewiremock dependency.
We now just use a module._load hook to inject
stubs into our code.

For conversion purposes I temporarily maintain
the API of rewiremock, apart from the enable/disable
pieces, but I will make a better wrapper in an
upcoming commit.

We can detect when rewiremock is called after
zrequire now, and I fix all the violations in
this commit, mostly by using override.

We can also detect when a mock is needlessly
created, and I fix all the violations in this
commit.

The one minor nuisance that this commit introduces
is that you can only stub out modules in the Zulip
source tree, which is now static/js. This should
not really be a problem--there are usually better
techniques to deal with third party depenencies.
In the prior commit I show a typical workaround,
which is to create a one-line wrapper in your
test code. It's often the case that you can simply
use override(), as well.

In passing I kill off `reset_modules`, and I
eliminated the second argument to zrequire,
which dates back to pre-es6 days.

Rohitt Vashishtha 0def4a97ae zblueslip: Implement tracking extra/lesser blueslip calls.
We change the user facing interface to allow specifying expected
number of error messages (default=1). Now an average test can look
like:

```
    // We expect 3 error messages;
    blueslip.expect('error', 'an error message', 3);
    throwError();
    throwError();
    throwError();
    blueslip.reset();
Steve Howell da79fd206a ui_init: Handle page_params more cleanly.
This cleans up the handoff of page_params
data between ui_init and modules that
take over ownership of page_params-derived
data.
Read the long comment in ui_init for a bit
more context.
Most of this diff is actually test cleanup.
And a lot of the diff to "real" code is
just glorified `s/page_params/params/`
in the `initialize` functions.
One little oddity is that we don't actually
surrender ownership of `page_params.user_id`
to `people.js`.  We could plausibly sweep
the rest of the codebase to just use
`people.my_user_id()` consistently, but it's
not a super high priority thing to fix,
since the value never changes.
The stream_data situation is a bit messy,
since we consume `page_params` data in the
initialize() function in addition to the
`params` data we "own".  I added a comment
there and intend to follow up.  I tried
to mostly avoid the "word soup" by extracting
three locals at the top.
Finally, I don't touch `alert_words` yet,
despite it also doing the delete-page-params-data
dance.  The problem is that `alert_words`
doesn't have a proper `initialize()`.  We
should clean that up and have it use a
`Map` internally, too.
Anders Kaseorg 28f3dfa284 js: Automatically convert var to let and const in most files.
This commit was originally automatically generated using `tools/lint
--only=eslint --fix`.  It was then modified by tabbott to contain only
changes to a set of files that are unlikely to result in significant
merge conflicts with any open pull request, excluding about 20 files.
His plan is to merge the remaining changes with more precise care,
potentially involving merging parts of conflicting pull requests
before running the `eslint --fix` operation.
Steve Howell 0ef5d1f9c8 user status: Add "status_text" support in the backend.
You can now pass in an info field with a value
like "out to lunch" to the /users/me/status,
and the server will include that in its outbound
events.
The semantics here are that both "away" and
"status_text" have to have defined values in order
to cause changes.  You can omit the keys or
pass in None when values don't change.
The way you clear info is to pass the empty
string.
We also change page_params to have a dictionary
called "user_status" instead of a set of user
ids.  This requires a few small changes on the
frontend.  (We will add "status_text" support in
subsequent commits; the changes here just keep
the "away" feature working correctly.)
