emoji: Disallow `.` in custom emoji names.
Until now, custom emojis with "periods" in their name were allowed, even though
they don't really fit the pattern of how we name them, and in fact the Markdown
processor would not render such custom emoji. Fix this by just disallowing the
character.

Also update the error strings accordingly.

Note that this does not include a migration to eliminate any existing custom emoji with this
character in their name.

Fixes #24066.

evykassirer efee77b41f emoji: Add which emoji are supported to the /register call.
Fixes #21037.

This is part of fixing #19371. To bulk-add new emoji regularly,
mobile needs to know which servers support which emoji.
`staticfiles_storage.url` generates a unique URL with a hash
based on the file content, which lets mobile know if it needs
to update its locally stored data.

Previously, non-admin emoji authors were allowed to
delete the emoji only if add_emoji_by_admins_only

is for who can add emoji and not delete emojis, it
should not affect the behavior of deleting emojis
and users should always be allowed to delete the

Anders Kaseorg 365fe0b3d5 python: Sort imports with isort.
Fixes #2665.

Regenerated by tabbott with `lint --fix` after a rebase and change in
parameters.

Note from tabbott: In a few cases, this converts technical debt in the
form of unsorted imports into different technical debt in the form of
our largest files having very long, ugly import sequences at the
start. I expect this change will increase pressure for us to split
those files, which isn't a bad thing.

Gloria Elston f8855ca179 api: Remove legacy emoji reactions endpoint.
The original/legacy emoji reactions endpoints made use of HTTP PUT and
didn't have an API that could correctly handle situations where the

This requires straightforward updates to older tests that were still
written against the legacy API.

The only changes visible at the AST level, checked using

'\\[[X| ]\\] (\\d+_.+)\n' ↦ '\\[[X| ]\\] (\\d+_.+)\\n'

which is fine because re treats '\\x1b' and '\\n' the same way as
'\x1b' and '\n'.

This PR solves some of the parity issues in the emoticon translation

testcase). The approach of having another check while converting just
for this seemed like an inefficient way, so I've left that last change
as it is.

Marco Burstein bdb86f1b5e emoji: Add support for translating emoticons.
Add `translate_emoticons` to `prop_types` and `expected_keys`.
Furthermore, create a emoji-translating Markdown inline pattern.

Also use a JavaScript version of `translate_emoticons` and then use
this function during Markdown previews and as a preprocessor. This
is only needed for previews, because usually emoticon translation
happens on the backend after sending.

Add tests for emoticon translation, a settings UI, and a /help/ page
as well.

Tweaked by tabbott to fix various test failurse as well as how this
handles whitespace, requiring emoticons to not have adjacent
characters.
