Tim Abbott 8e7ce7cc79 python: Sort migrations/management command imports with isort.
This is a preparatory commit for using isort for sorting all of our
imports, merging changes to files where we can easily review the
changes as something we're happy with.

These are also files with relatively little active development, which
means we don't expect much merge conflict risk from these changes.

Anders Kaseorg 78b018989e export: Refuse to overwrite an existing directory or tarball.
Previously, incorrectly passing an existing directory to the
`manage.py export --output` option would remove its contents without
warning.  Abort instead.

Anders Kaseorg becef760bf cleanup: Delete leading newlines.
Previous cleanups (mostly the removals of Python __future__ imports)
were done in a way that introduced leading newlines. Delete leading
newlines from all files, except static/assets/zulip-emoji/NOTICE,
which is a verbatim copy of the Apache 2.0 license.

Wyatt Hoodes 4dd8c133a9 export: Rename `--upload-to-s3` to be `--upload`.
The upload option will no longer be limited to strictly S3 uploads. This
commit serves as a preliminary step for supporting LOCAL_UPLOADS_DIR as
part of the public only export feature.

Vishnu Ks 06983298ba export: Add support for exporting realm with member consent.
This lets us handle directly in our tooling the user experience that
we document for exporting a realm with member consent (before, it
required unpleasant manual work).

Wyatt Hoodes bafcf3c664 export.py: Add 'delete after upload' option for removing tarball.
This allows removal of the local tarball upon a succesful s3 upload.

A part of the public-only-realm-export webapp feature.

Wyatt Hoodes 0db7d6c31b export.py: Refactor './manage.py export' core logic.
This commit serves as the first step in supporting "public export" as a
webapp feature. The refactoring was done as a means to allow calling
the export logic from elsewhere in the codebase.

Note that the current version still includes metadata on private
streams and private message recipients, just not their messages.

Tim Abbott d66967f851 import: Use os.path.expanduser when accessing paths.
This fixes an issue where passing a path like `~/exports/foo` would
result in a `~` directory being created and the export/import not
working correctly.

Rishi Gupta aa845e7f60 models: Replace ScheduledJob with ScheduledEmail.
ScheduledJob was written for much more generality than it ended up being
used for. Currently it is used by send_future_email, and nothing
else. Tailoring the model to emails in particular will make it easier to do
things like selectively clear emails when people unsubscribe from particular
email types, or seamlessly handle using the same email on multiple realms.

Rishi Gupta b3654c7b7e confirmation: Remove vestiges of the MitUser table.
The MitUser table was removed in df525ad.

confirm_mituser.html could have been accessed through the last few lines of
confirmation/views.py:
    templates.insert(0, 'confirmation/confirm_%s.html'
                     % (obj._meta.model_name,))

The commit message on df525ad suggests there was another way
confirm_mituser.html could have been called, but I don't currently see
evidence for it in the code.

Vaida d5517bae36 Delete the old zulip.com "referrals" system.
This system hasn't been in active use for several years, and had some
problems with it's design. So it makes sense to just remove it to declutter
the codebase.

Rishi Gupta 11346e50bb management commands: Use Realm.string_id instead of domain in print statements. 2017-03-13 09:44:32 -07:00
Rishi Gupta 2b0a7fd0ba Rename models.get_realm_by_string_id to get_realm.
Finishes the refactoring started in c1bbd8d. The goal of the refactoring is
to change the argument to get_realm from a Realm.domain to a
Realm.string_id. The steps were

* Add a new function, get_realm_by_string_id.

* Change all calls to get_realm to use get_realm_by_string_id instead.

* Remove get_realm.

* (This commit) Rename get_realm_by_string_id to get_realm.

Part of a larger migration to remove the Realm.domain field entirely.

and which will work fine in dev.

Tim Abbott 6264ff7039 Add new Zulip realm import/export tool.
The previous export tool would only work properly for small realms,
and was missing a number of important features:
* Export of avatars and uploads from S3
* Export of presence data, activity data, etc.
* Faithful export/import of timestamps
* Parallel export of messages
* Not OOM killing for large realms

The new tool runs as a pair of documented management commands, and
solves all of those problems.

Also we add a new management command for exporting the data of an
individual user.
