# Change the stream description

3. Click on the stream that you want to change the description of;
{!stream-settings.md!}

{!stream-settings-scroll.md!} **Administrator settings** section. This section
shows all stream settings that can be modified by an organization administrator.

6. To make a public stream private, input the new stream description in the
field to the left of the **Change stream description** button. Click the
**Change stream description** button to save your changes.
