# Change your Avatar

By default, Zulip uses avatars from [Gravatar](https://en.gravatar.com/).
If your email address already has a gravatar associated with it, Zulip will
simply use your existing gravatar.

You can also upload a custom avatar to Zulip.

2. Click the **Upload New Avatar** button and choose an image to upload
    as your avatar.
3. Click **Save Changes** once you’re finished.
