As the help center article now has detailed instructions to generate
an incoming webhook URL, the integration documentation only needs to
link to that information.
- Tweaks documentation and clarifies that the "Jitsi server URL"
setting is not just a server-side setting.
- Updates instructions to a series of steps to be followed directly,
without having to go to the help center.
Fixes#26907.
Updates the shared integrations documentation on generating a URL for
an incoming webhook for the new modal in the web-app, with links to the
help center. Also, links to a new section in the incoming webhooks
overview in the API documentation about the URL specification.
Also, adds a link to the help center in the shared webhooks integration
instructions for creating a stream for an incoming webhook. And updates
the example webhook URL to use a stream ID instead of a stream name.
This commit re-adds bootstrap CSS for search input in
integrations page using a more specific selector in
integrations.css. We also change the selector to use
a class name instead of "input".
This is a prep commit for removing bootstrap CSS for text type
inputs.
In #23380 we want to change all occurrences of `uri` with `url`.
This commit changes the names of two variables `external_uri_scheme`
and `main_site_uri`, who are constructed using `settings` constants.
Updates the Asana documentation, which was a detailed version
of the Zapier documentation with screenshots specifically for
Asana, to instead start with the basic incoming webhook steps
and then point to the general Zapier documentation to complete
the integration.
This will be easier to maintain moving forward in the short
term as ideally we'll migrate to a system that documents all
of the integrations with Zulip that are available via Zapier.
Also, updates the current Zapier documentation to mention
Asana as one of the apps that can be integrated with Zulip.
Moves files in `templates/zerver/help/include` that are used
specifically for integrations documentation to be in a new
directory: `templates/zerver/integrations/include`.
Adds a boolean parameter to `render_markdown_path` to be used
for integrations documentation pages.
Removes the three remaining instances of `settings_html` links in
the integrations documentation. Use of `settings_html` was removed
from the general shared `create-an-incoming-webhook.md` and
`create-a-generic-bot.md` files in e9e2721.
There are a handful of integration docs that instruct users to create
a bot and select the "Generic bot" type without using a helper macro.
Adds a new macro to replace these instructions, including a screenshot
of the latest UI for selecting a bot type.
Several integration docs instruct the user to create a bot, but don't
specify that the type of bot should be "Incoming webhook".
Renames create-a-bot.md -> create-an-incoming-webhook.md for clarity,
and replaces all incomplete instructions with this macro.
Renames bot_types.png -> bot_types_incoming_webhook.png and updates
the image with a screenshot of the latest UI.
The logo were only used in the integration documentation and belong in
static/images/integrations/giphy/; the in-app image is given its own
directory.
Fixes#22464.
We move the markdown class to the element which directly contains
the markdown text. This avoids markdown properties being applied
to other elements unintentionally like `h1` elements.
markdown-include is GPL licensed.
Also, rewrite it as a block processor, so that it works correctly
inside indented blocks.

As we have changed the tab selector above from "Settings" to "Personal
settings", we can simply change "Your bots" to "Bots" as "Bots" is
clear enough given the personal settings context.
We also need to update the API documentation for bots accordingly.
The Hubot project looks to be abandoned; it hasn’t been updated in
years and its own installation instructions don’t work anymore.
Remove our special placement of Hubot alongside Zapier and IFTTT.

This reverses the policy that was set, but incompletely enforced, by
commit 951514dd7d. The self-closing tag
syntax is clearer, more consistent, simpler to parse, compatible with
XML, preferred by Prettier, and (most importantly now) required by
FormatJS.

I have added a documentation page for the GitHub Actions integration to
`/integrations/doc/github-actions` with a link to the Zulip GitHub
Actions repository.
Tweaked by tabbott to add cross-links with the main GitHub integration.
We had a mix of the two names, and "video call provider" both feels
more professional and more clear about precisely what it does.
We don't change the API fields, since it doesn't seem worth an API
migration.
Moves documentation about using zoom as video call provider
to /integrations. This documentation was earlier present
at /help/start-a-call and is moved as asked in issue #17588.
Moves documentation about using Big Blue Button as video call
provider to /integrations. This documentation was earlier
present at /help/start-a-call and is moved as asked in issue #17588.
Moves documentation about using jitsi as video call provider
to /integrations. This documentation was earlier present
at /help/start-a-call and is moved as asked in issue #17588.
This commit adds a "Create your own" button on the integrations page. It
redirects to "api/integrations-overview" page and is placed by the side
of "Request an Integration" button.
Fixes#7935
There was no proper documentation to guide user to request an integration.
The following changes documents the whole process and links it from the
`/integrations/` page making it visible to the end-user.

We use GIPHY web SDK to create popover containing GIFs in a
grid format. Simply clicking on the GIFs will insert the GIF in the compose
box.
We add GIPHY logo to compose box action icons which opens the GIPHY
picker popover containing GIFs with "Powered by GIPHY"
attribution.
In 1a12e112d9, this page was converted
to use portico styling, but we intentionally left this page not using
the portico_content class since we didn't want the header/footer.
We still don't want the header/footer clutter, so instead, we achieve
that same goal using the isolated_page flag.
I have updated the capistrano docs so that the indentations are all
correct and align with the numbers correctly.
This one, if wanting to pout backticks round the code whilst indented,
doesn't render properly. Has to be double indented.
