Prior to commit eb4a2b9d4e the center
area of the navbar was based on a structure that appended crumbs or
"tabs" as <li>s, forming a tab_bar and a tab_list.
However, in eb4a2b9d4e we apply a new
style and structure to the navbar which lets go of the convention of
tabs. Hence, we'd like to purge the tab_bar and tab_list labels from
our code base.
We purged tab_list in 1267caf5009118875f47fdafe312880af08024e1.
This commit purges tab_bar, it includes:
- A blanket search and replace of tab_bar with message_view_header.
- Splitting a single line comment in
tab_bar.js / message_view_header.js.
- The renaming of tab_bar.js to message_view_header.js.
- The renaming of tab_bar.hbs to message_view_header.hbs.
- A blanket search and replace of tab_data with
message_view_header_data.
- Replacing the single occurrence of tabbar with message_view_header
(it was within a comment.)
Fixes#2665.
Regenerated by tabbott with `lint --fix` after a rebase and change in
parameters.
Note from tabbott: In a few cases, this converts technical debt in the
form of unsorted imports into different technical debt in the form of
our largest files having very long, ugly import sequences at the
start. I expect this change will increase pressure for us to split
those files, which isn't a bad thing.

The test_management_commands use in particular was causing pickling
errors when the test failed, because Python 3 filter returns an
iterator, not a list.

These were missed the `zulint` package was missing PEP 561 type
annotation markers, and if it’d had them, mypy daemon mode would’ve
required us to set `follow_imports = skip` for it.

`valid_indent_html` allows for replacing the incorrectly
indented file with the correct pretty-printed version
if `--fix` is passed to `tools/lint`.
Fixes#12641.
This file was unchecked until the .handlebars ↦ .hbs rename, so this
is the easiest way to get tests passing again.

As part of this change, we port into the .messages class the work in
4e8e7348da to change overflow-y to auto,
not scroll (skipping that would result in a regression).
We modify check-templates to check for duplicate id's in archive
templates and app templates separately. This means we are allowing
app and archive templates to potentially use same id's. This is
needed because we intend to re use some js from the main app and
having same id's help achieve that.
Note: We haven't up until this point actually added archive
templates. This commit is more of a preparatory commit for merging
the basic archive infra.
This should make it easier to find the templates that are actually
part of the core webapp, instead of having them all mixed together
with the portico pages.
This is the last commit in the series of commits for completing the
project of cleaning up our html templates to have 4 space and
valid indentation.
Fixes: #1236.
In this commit we also fix a test which would fail as a result of
doing this cleanup since the test wasn't designed to take into
account the space chars which might occur in the beginning of a
html line.
Now that we have `eval_rst` and can explicitly exclude pages from the
toctree completely, we no longer need to set `includehidden`, and we
can return to using upstream's template.
(Meanwhile, our feature request upstream was successful! See
rtfd/sphinx_rtd_theme#485, which upstream implemented just a week
after we requested it. So that would have been another option.)
This reverts commit 11b8b8f48 "docs: Add rtd layout template."
This reverts commit 66261f1cc. See parent commit for reason; here,
provision worked but `tools/run-dev.py` would give errors.
We need to figure out a test that reproduces these issues, then make a
version of these changes that keeps that test working, before we
re-merge them.
The readthedocs theme overrides a few settings in their layout template.
We might want to change some settings back to their default values.
This commit copies the original readthedocs layout file from
https://github.com/rtfd/sphinx_rtd_theme/blob/master/sphinx_rtd_theme/layout.html
to _templates/layout.html, and excludes it from lint and template checks.
Addresses #7417.
This commit allows for the /api-new/ page to rendered similarly to our
/help pages. It's based on the old content for /api, but we're not
replacing the old content yet, to give a bit of time to restructure
things reasonably.
Tweaked by eeshangarg and tabbott.
Sparkle was the auto-update system used by the legacy desktop app. We
haven't been capable of using it for auto-update in years, so there's
no reason to keep around the configuration.
The new Electron app uses a different system anyway.
