The build_support_url is a more generic function that's used in
the BillingSession framework and will generate the same URL for
these Zulip Cloud support requests.
Because the main indexes on end_time either don't include realm_id or
do include subgroup, passing an explicit subgroup=None for
single-realm queries to read CountStats that don't use the subgroups
feature greatly improves the query plans.
Adds non-form section to Zulip Cloud support view with some basic
realm information: organization type, plan type, non-guest user
count and guest user count.
Uses a shared template for the basic realm data and adds a shared
support context dict for variables that are used in both remote
and Zulip Cloud support views.
In commit 7203661d99, we removed the default_discount field on the
Customer model, but we didn't update the remote support views for
this change.
Adds a has_discount boolean to the SponsorshipData that's used in
the support views for headers, and updates the discount information
on a deactivated remote realm to show any pre-existing discounted
prices.
In the activity and support views, we want to see the annual
revenue for fixed price plans. While on billing pages, we do
not display this information as these plans are renegotiated
annually.
Adds get_annual_recurring_revenue_for_support_data function
to BillingSession class, so that we can get the fixed price
plan data for these views without changing the logic for
what is displayed on the billing pages.
Adds a link to the stripe customer dashboard if the Customer
object for an active plan has a stripe_customer_id. If there
is no stripe ID to link to, then the icon is shown without
a link, which is the case for remote server/realm sponsorships
and legacy plans.
In #23380, we are changing all occurrences of uri with url in order to
follow the latest URL standard. Previous PRs #25038 and #25045 has
replaced the occurences of uri that has no direct relation with realm.
This commit changes just the model property, which has no API
compatibility concerns.
Includes has_stale_audit_log boolean in the remote support view
data so that we can style the last audit log data for the remote
server to visually highlight if it is stale or current.
Refactors the Cloud support view to pass in any sponsorship or
discount information about the Customer object for the realm,
which allows us to display any information submitted in a
sponsorship request.
Adds the information returned by get_push_status_for_remote_request
for remote billing users to the support page. Note that getting
the current push status data will result in some duplicate database
queries (getting customer, plan, current billed users, next billing
cycle) when generating the remote support view.
Instead of querying the database twice for the user counts and
for the currently used licenses, we know pass that information
to the function where we populate the plan data for the remote
server or realm.
Only get the customer information once from the database.
Extract logic for any next plan (either scheduled or an offer) data
into a separate function and do not hit database twice when getting
the number of licenses at the next plan renewal.
Instead of displaying the end of the day interval for the latest
count stat update for push notifications forwarded on the bouncer,
we display the start of the day interval and format it as a date
instead of a date and time.
Adds a count for mobile users registered for the remote server
with a RemotePushDeviceToken that does not have an associated
remote realm, which was a recently added field.
If the remote server is pre-8.0 and does not have remote realms,
then only the total mobile user count is displayed, as the count
for uncatagorized mobile users would be equal to the total mobile
user count.
Earlier, when a fixed-price plan for a customer with
no current plan was configured via /support, the next plan
info was missing on support page.
It was because we were considering next plan only if the
customer had a current plan.
This commit fixes the incorrect behaviour.
To estimate the annual recurring revenue for remote server and
remote realm CustomerPlans, we prefetch the current license
ledger as part of the CustomerPlan query.
Also adds a select related to the remote realm audit log query
so that we don't go to the database for the remote realm ID.
With the test added in the previous commit, the query count for
the remote activity view goes from 27 to 11, as we are no longer
hitting the database multiple times for every current plan or
for every remote realm with audit log data.
Refactors get_customer_plan_renewal_amount so that a license
ledger is always passed and make_end_of_cycle_updates_if_needed
does not need to be called.
Instead of showing the next invoice date for the plan, show the
date for the next billing cycle start (e.g. the next plan renewal
charge date), except for plans currently on a free trial.
For plans on a free trial, the next plan renewal date will be when
the free trial ends, which is stored as the next invoice date on
the plan.
Adds a support action for updating the minimum licenses on a
customer object once a default discount has also been set.
In the case that the current billing entity has a current active
plan or a scheduled upgrade to a new plan, then the minimum
licenses will not be updated.
Creates some reusable helper functions and adds remote realms to
the search results that are checked, which gives coverage for the
remote realm user counts in the support view.
Also fixes formatting for per license price and moves the billing
schedule to be above this line so that it's clearer the per license
price is based on the billing schedule.
Adds a helper since there are only a few different parameters for
all BillingSession child clases, `build_support_url`.
Also, renames `get_support_url` to more explicitly note that it
is for realms: `get_realm_support_url`.
Moves the section in support views for any current plan details
to a new template: `templates/analytics/current_plan_details.html`.
Also, updates the PlanData dataclass to have a boolean that checks
if the current plan tier is the self-hosted legacy plan.
Creates a process_support_view_request method for BillingSession
to process the various support requests that relate to the billing
system.
Moves approve_realm_sponsorship, update_realm_sponsorship_status,
and attach_discount_to_realm to this new BillingSession method.
Adds a new abstract property to BillingSession to have a string
value, billing_entity_display_name, to use for support messages
sent when these requests are processed.
The "send_invoice" and "charge_automatically" strings used by stripe
for the `collection_method` are referred to both as the "billing
method" and "billing modality" in the billing code.
Because we send this as data to stripe as either `collection_method`
or `billing_modality`, renames any references that are any form of
"billing method".
Moves and generalizes `switch_realm_from_standard_to_plus_plan`
in stripe.py to be a more general function for changing a
CustomerPlan to a new and valid tier, `do_change_plan_to_new_tier`.
Adds a helper function with the previous function name to be used
for the support view and management command for changing a realm
from the Standard plan tier to the Plus plan tier.
Moves `update_billing_method_of_current_plan` to the BillingSession
abstract class.
Adds a helper function for support views for the realm case:
`update_realm_billing_method`.
Moves `update_sponsorship_status` to BillingSession abstract class
as `update_customer_sponsorship_status`.
Updates the support views to have a helper for updating this on a
realm: `update_realm_sponsorship_status`.
Makes `approve_sponshorship` an abstract method in BillingSession
abstract base class and moves the implementation for realms to the
RealmBillingSession child class.
Adds `approve_realm_sponsorship` helper function that's used in
the support view and initiates the billing session.
