For message groups, I just changed the internal name
to "topic_links".
For uses of "subject_links" that are tied to how the
server names fields, I introduced these wrappers:
* util.set_topic_links(obj, topic_links)
* util.get_topic_links(obj)
These can be used for either messages or events.
In `recipient-row` template, if conditions to add/hide/show edit
icon for message topic is incorrect.
In some cases, we only want to just hide the edit icon, but icon
should be in DOM, cause in future if organization settings are
changed we want to show edit icon in message row.
If user can edit topic of message, surely add edit icon element to
DOM regardless of user is allowed to edit or not. If user is
allowed to edit then show edit icon otherwise hide edit icon element.
This reverts commit 8e2d9b8f68.
This adds the arrows back to the recipient bars because even though
it's not our end state, it looks better than the boxy design that we
had in between.
This is hacky, but I can't figure out another way to do it that
doesn't cause other problems.
Ideally, we'd add some sort of exclude rule to our HTML template
linter so we can check the rest of the file.
This refactor will facilitate making it possible to set CSS properties
on this controls span; in particular, we're hoping to disable user
selection of the whitespace in this region.
The main side effect of this refactor is that we need to add JS code
to also hide the icon-vector-pencil element, since it's now in a new
span.
This fixes a confusing bug where administrators would be offered the
convenient topic-edit pencil even if message editing was actually
disabled.
This doesn't yet fix the real-time sync issues of changing the setting
without reloading.
Fixes#5946.
Currently when hovering over the external link icon generated when a topic contains a
realm filter, an underline appears. This commit removes that underline.
Like the topic edit pencil icon, the new UI is mostly invisible, but
appears when you hover over the recipient bar.
* Added a tag to hold the mute button in recipient_row.handlebars with
corresponding styling in zulip.css.
* Added an event handler for the mute button in click_handlers.js.
Fixes: #2235.
This shows a date on a message header whenever the date of that
message is different than the date of the previous message.
The previous logic was bugged and didn't display dates in headers at
date transition points.
The messages being passed to the handlebars templates were global
messages which we were adding per list details to, show name bar etc.
This causes rendering bugs when you try to rerender a message, because a
different list may have changed it. This commit moves the global message
data to a msg attribute on the message_container which will contain the
per list attributes.
