To achive this the `stream_header_colorblock` div was removed from
`dropdown_widget_with_stream_colorblock.hbs` template. this change made
the file name irelevenet so it was necessary to rename the file to
`dropdown_widget_wrapper.hbs`. After removing the html strcuture for
colorblock from templates the css for colorblock was also removed.
followed by the javascript which was used to add colorblock to the
stream picker. After removing javascript tests were updated.
Fixes: #28796.
Now we show the number of drafts that are addressed to the current
recipient selected in the compose box, if any, in the Drafts button
within parentheses (whether it is next to the Send button, or in the
Send options popover), and explain that it is the number of drafts for
this conversation in the tooltip.
Fixes: #28696.
It was always being set after the fact, and it will
be easier to manage types for the conversion to
Typescript if we just set this when setting the
rest of the data for the draft message.
Needed for typescript, because we want to preserve
types, so instead of mutating a message object,
we can instead calculate return these values
for a message object before it's created in full.
This commit also renames apply_markdown
to render, see this comment
https://github.com/zulip/zulip/pull/28652#discussion_r1470514780
For compose state variables `last_focused_compose_type_input` and
`message_type` that are assigned non-boolean values on user interaction,
`undefined` is the semantically better choice than `false` for
initialisation, to avoid incorrect boolean implications.
Some files already were using `noop` in place of `() => {}`.
It's both clearer what it means and is easier to type.
This updates all test files to fully use `noop`, and
adds a shared import from the test lib file.
This should cause no functional changes.
This is part of a multi-step effort to move away
from using stream names to reference streams, now
that it's impossible for a user to write a message
with an invalid stream name (since switching to
the dropdown).

In commit 5edc8fc, abstract classes were added to the
drafts overlay, but the classes that were already there
were not removed. This resulted in the same styles being
applied twice.
Previously, if the drafts modal was open in two different tabs and
if the user deletes one or more drafts in one tab, then the count of
drafts wouldn't get updated on the other tab.
The right long-term fix likely involves moving drafts from local storage to
the cloud. But we can greatly reduce the impact of the bug by updating the count
whenever the overlay is opened or closed.
Previously this dropdown was only for selecting streams, but
soon it will also be for switching to a private message. This
name helps it be clearer that the dropdown is more general
purpose.
This helps reduce the amount of import cycles we have in the compose
code path following the migration to a fancier stream input.
`compose_closed_ui.initialize()` was moved further down in the
initialization order because it relies on the dropdown widget
to be defined.
This is needed for the compose stream dropdown widget,
which is also updated here. Now when a user is subscribed
or unsubscribed from a stream, or a stream is renamed, or
or a stream is deleted, the dropdown widget updates
accordingly. This fixes a regression of this functionality
that happened during the switch to the dropdown.
Fixes#11832
This lets the user see more options than the three that appear
in the typeahead menu, and prevents them from inputting invalid
stream names.
This change replaces the input field with the dropdown, and
updates everything that referred to the classnames of the old
input field, so that they now get the data they need from the
new dropdown.
Following important changes are being made here:
* color_class lib is removed since it not used anywhere now.
* We don't need the `dark_background` class since the background
color is already adjusted based on color scheme. So, all
instances of it being used is removed.
Implemented date localization using native Intl object.
Created special function get_localized_date_or_time_for_format
Made necessary string formatting changes in 'timerender.ts'.
Fixed tests and added some localization tests too.
Tested on my local development server, with some random languages.
Fixes#23987.
This lets us simplify the long-ish ‘../../static/js’ paths, and will
remove the need for the ‘zrequire’ wrapper.
