This better matches the title of the page and more generally our
conventions around naming /help/ articles. We include a redirect
because this is referenced from Welcome Bot messages, and we
definitely don't want those links to break.
The Entity ID for zulipchat.com is `https://zulipchat.com` currently.
Some of these errors happened in the big zulipchat->zulip rename commit
71078adc50, then it was repeated in
10d356d2de and there was also some
confusion when coming up with the instructions for Keycloack in
10d356d2de. Client-ID value in Keycloack
is the expected Issuer for SAMLRequests and thus needs to match our
Entity ID.
Now, when we add a custom animated emoji to the realm
we also save a still image of it (1st frame of the gif). So
we can avoid showing an animated emoji every time.
SOCIAL_AUTH_SUBDOMAIN was potentially very confusing when opened by a
user, as it had various Login/Signup buttons as if there was a realm on
it. Instead, we want to display a more informative page to the user
telling them they shouldn't even be there. If possible, we just redirect
them to the realm they most likely came from.
To make this possible, we have to exclude the subdomain from
ROOT_SUBDOMAIN_ALIASES - so that we can give it special behavior.
This commit adds do_set_realm_user_default_setting which
will be used to change the realm-level defaults of settings
for new users.
We also add a new event type "realm_user_settings_defaults"
for these settings and a "realm_user_settings_default" object
in '/register' response containing all the realm-level default
settings.
On zulipchat.com we use SOCIAL_AUTH_SUBDOMAIN='auth', meaning
python-social-auth backend flows go through auth.zulipchat.com rather
than staying on the original subdomain.
This commit adds `demo_organization_scheduled_deletion_date` to
the `realm` section of the `/register` response so that it is
available to clients when enabled.
This is a part of #19523.
On our Markdown help docs, ordered lists that aren't encapsulated
in tabs don't have custom CSS that tells them how to display
themselves with proper indentation. An example of a doc that has
this issue is /help/saml-authentication. This commit adds some CSS
that targets such ordered lists.
We will use this modal for any narrow / hash or other UI element that
requires an actual account to use, to provide something reasonable to
occur when a user clicks on those things.
We ideally will also add a /help/ page explaining these with an
example, but it seems appropriate to make the labels frame it around
what sort of emails we actually intend to send (newsletters with
updates about Zulip, not a "drip campaign").
This is a prep commit for adding UI for realm-level defaults
of user settings.
This commit renames notification-sound-audio element to
user-notification-sound-audio because we will be adding similar
element for realm-level default of user settings also.
We also change the child elements to have current id as their
class for the same reason.
This commit indicates that the realm_message_retention_days field can have
a special value, similar to its stream counterpart, and also explains how
the special value changed over different server versions.
With an extension from tabbott to double-enter the changelog entry.

We ran into a bug in production caused by two issues:
- Some users came from orgs that didn't have a website and since
the URL field was required, they submitted invalid URLs.
- We didn't properly respond to invalid form submissions, which
led to UnboundLocalError exceptions in another part of the
code.
This commit solves this by doing the following:
- We now allow blank URLs and have a convenient placeholder text
label that tells users that they may leave the URL field blank.
- This commit refactors the code such that invalid form submissions
result in an informative error message about what exactly went
wrong.
These changes are all independent of each other; I just didn’t feel
like making dozens of commits for them.

This commit updates both the stream-level and realm-level message
retention setting to use 'unlimited' instead of 'forever' to set
message retention setting to "retain messages forever".
