Shashank Singh 4cce94b667 invites: Add option to receive notification on accepted invitations.
Previously, when a referrer's invitation to Zulip was accepted,

Sahil Batra 7b42c802b1 invites: Add include_realm_default_subscriptions parameter.
This commit adds include_realm_default_subscriptions parameter
to the invite endpoints and the corresponding field in
PreregistrationUser and MultiuseInvite objects. This field will
be used to subscribe the new users to the default streams at the
time of account creation and not to the streams that were default
when sending the invite.

subscribe others to streams.

Alex Vandiver 9dfaa83aa8 invites: Remove invites worker, make confirmation object in-process.
The "invites" worker exists to do two things -- make a Confirmation
object, and send the outgoing email. Making the Confirmation object
in a background process from where the PreregistrationUser is created
temporarily leaves the PreregistrationUser in invalid state, and
results in 500's, and the user not immediately seeing the sent
invitation. That the "invites" worker also wants to create the
Confirmation object means that "resending" an invite invalidates the
URL in the previous email, which can be confusing to the user.

Moving the Confirmation creation to the same transaction solves both
of these issues, and leaves the "invites" worker with nothing to do
but send the email; as such, we remove it entirely, and use the
existing "email_senders" worker to send the invites. The volume of
invites is small enough that this will not affect other uses of that
worker.

Alex Vandiver d863aa56de invites: Lock the realm when determining invitation counts.
This prevents users from hammering the invitation endpoint, causing
races, and inviting more users than they should otherwise be allowed
to.

Doing this requires that we not raise InvitationError when we have
partially succeeded; that behaviour is left to the one callsite of
do_invite_users.

Generally updates variables that appear in translated strings that use

changing the variable would also change the fields returned by these
errors to clients.

Changes to context variables in emails and variables in onboarding

Sahil Batra ae0aba064f CVE-2024-21630: Check permission to subscribe others using invite link.
This commit updates the API to check the permission to subscribe other
users while creating multi-use invites. The API will raise error if
the user passes the "stream_ids" parameter (even when it contains only
default streams) and the calling user does not have permission to
subscribe others to streams.

We did not add this before as we only allowed admins to create
multiuse invites, but now we have added a setting which can be used
to allow users with other roles as well to create multiuse invites.

Sahil Batra 4c4caa7be4 CVE-2023-32677: Check permission to subscribe other users in invites.
This commit updates the API to check the permission to subscribe other
users while inviting. The API will error if the user passes the
"stream_ids" parameter (even when it contains only default streams)
and the calling user does not having permission to subscribe others to
streams.

For users who do not have permission to subscribe others, the
invitee will be subscribed to default streams at the time of
accepting the invite.

There is no change for multiuse invites, since only admins are allowed
to send them, and admins always have the permission to subscribe
others to streams.

Sahil Batra 4ca887bade invites: Allow users to invite without specifying any stream to join.
We now allow users to invite without specifying any stream to join.
In such cases, the user would join the default streams, if any, during

It is also fine if there are no default streams and user isn't
subscribed to any stream initially.

Zixuan James Li fe9ed2e69d settings: Make INVITATION_LINK_VALIDITY_MINUTES optional.
Type inference does not work when the default value of `REQ` is
non-optional while `ResultT` is optional. Mypy tries to unify
`json_validator` with `Validator[int]` in `invite_users_backend` instead
of the desired `Validator[Optional[int]]` because of the presence of the
default value `settings.INVITATION_LINK_VALIDITY_MINUTES`, which is
inferred to be an `int`. Mypy does not resort to a less specific type but
instead gives up early.

This issue applies to invite_users_backend and generate_multiuse_invite_backend
in zerver.views.invite.

There might be a way that we can add an overload to get around this, but
it's probably not worth the complexity until it comes up again more frequently.

We do in fact allow `invite_expires_in_minutes` to be `None` in places
like `do_invite_users`, `invite_users_backend`, etc, and we have
`settings.INVITATION_LINK_VALIDITY_MINUTES` as the default for them. So
it makes sense to allow having an optional value for this setting. And
since there isn't a way to independently set the value of this constant,
we move it to a different place.

This is a temporary fix that should be refactored when the bug is fixed.

Sahil Batra 392b17da5f invite: Add backend support for "Never expires" option.
The database value for expiry_date is None for the invite
that will never expire and the clients send -1 as value
in the API similar to the message retention setting.

Also, when passing invite_expire_in_days as an argument
in various functions, invite_expire_in_days is passed as
-1 for "Never expires" option since invite_expire_in_days
is an optional argument in some functions and thus we cannot
pass "None" value.

shanukun 8c1ea78d7d invite: Extend invite api for handling expiration duration.
This extends the invite api endpoints to handle an extra
argument, expiration duration, which states the number of
days before the invitation link expires.

For prereg users, expiration info is attached to event
object to pass it to invite queue processor in order to
create and send confirmation link.
In case of multiuse invites, confirmation links are
created directly inside do_create_multiuse_invite_link(),

For filtering valid user invites, expiration info stored in
Confirmation object is used, which is accessed by a prereg
user using reverse generic relations.

PIG208 dcbb2a78ca python: Migrate most json_error => JsonableError.
JsonableError has two major benefits over json_error:
* It can be raised from anywhere in the codebase, rather than
being a return value, which is much more convenient for refactoring,
as one doesn't potentially need to change error handling style when
extracting a bit of view code to a function.
* It is guaranteed to contain the `code` property, which is helpful
  for API consistency.

Various stragglers are not updated because JsonableError requires
subclassing in order to specify custom data or HTTP status codes.
