For spectators, the chunk of page_params that originates from
do_events_register isn’t assigned until ui_init.js. That means the
TypeScript type of page_params is mostly a lie during module load
time: reading a parameter too early silently results in undefined
rather than the declared type, with unpredictable results later on.
We want to make such an early read into an immediate runtime error,
for both users and spectators consistently, and pave the way for
runtime validation of the page_params type. As a second step, split
out the subset of fields that pertain to the entire realm.

We used bootstrap "fade" class to show the password strength
only after password_quality module is imported. Adding "fade"
class was only hiding the bar by setting opacity and the
transition defined in bootstrap was not used as it was
overridden by transition in progress_bar.css. So, we just
hide and show the bootstrap by using "hide" class and remove
the use of "fade" as part of the bootstrap removal project.
This commit moves initialize_custom_pronouns_type_fields,
initialize_custom_user_type_fields, initialize_custom_date_type_fields
and append_custom_profile_fields functions to the new file
custom_profile_fields_ui.js from settings_account.js since
they are used for both showing custom profile fields in
"Profile" settings panel and "Edit user" form shown in
user profile modal. This change also helps us in avoiding
import cycles.
Creates process for demo organization owners to add an email address
and password to their account.
Uses the same flow as changing an email (via user settings) at the
beginning, but then sends a different email template to the user
for the email confirmation process.
We also encourage users to set their full name field in the modal for
adding an email in a demo organization. We disable the submit button
on the form if either input is empty, email or full name.
When the user clicks the 'confirm and set password' button in the
email sent to confirm the email address sent via the form, their
email is updated via confirm_email_change, but the user is redirected
to the reset password page for their account (instead of the page for
confirming an email change has happened).
Once the user successfully sets a password, then they will be
prompted to log in with their newly configured email and password.
In `user_pill.js` add parameter to allow for excluding bots
when getting the users for the pill typeahead.
For `custom_user_field` typeahead exclude bots by default.
Fixes#25092.
Removes redundant `preventDefault` and `stopPropagation` calls for the
users of `dialog_widget.ts` module since we are already calling those
functions in the submit button click handler now.
Following the issue #23380 and PR #25038, this commit changes all
occurences of `uri` into `url` in all comments, local variables,
handlebars templates (.hbs) function names and their callers in
all `.js` and `.ts` files.
When we converted the change email form to a dialog widget modal,
in commit f43d3b9986, the page_params value for delivery email
that was being referenced in the handlebars template
`change_email_modal.hbs` was not set, so instead an empty string
was the initial input value. Because the email change dialog
widget post_render callback sets the input value to the same
delivery email, the fact that the email was not being set when
the template was initially rendered was not noticable.
Passes the page_params.delivery_email to the html parameter in
dialog_widget.launch so that the template has the initial value
set when the form is initially rendered. Removes the now redundant
post_render callback, which resets the initial input value to the
same delivery email.
When the password change form was converted to a dialog widget
modal, in commit f5fbf5f0e0, the page_params values for
password_min_length and password_min_guesses that were referenced
in the handlebars template `dialog_change_password.hbs` had no
value to set, which meant the password quality bar was no longer
checking the input value against those organization settings.
Passes the page_params values for password_min_length and
password_min_guesses to the html parameter in dialog_widet.launch
for the password change modal so that those values are available
and set when the template is rendered.
Added a 'Deactivate Organization' button inside the
'Personal Settings > Account & Privacy'. This button only appears
when the organization owner is the only user present. To verify this,
I used the 'get_active_human_count' function from the 'people.js'.
To remove duplication, a function has been created inside settings_org
file to handle the click event for the two buttons present inside
personal_settings and organization_settings that perform the same
action of deactivating organization. The click handler is defined in
the click_handlers.js file, which calls the dialog for deactivating
the organization. Previously, the error used to appear at the top of
the organization_settings, but now it appears inside the dialog box
itself.
To remove the duplication of two buttons having the same IDs,changed
the Id `deactivate_realm_button` to a className.

Ever since we started bundling the app with webpack, there’s been less
and less overlap between our ‘static’ directory (files belonging to
the frontend app) and Django’s interpretation of the ‘static’
directory (files served directly to the web).
Split the app out to its own ‘web’ directory outside of ‘static’, and
remove all the custom collectstatic --ignore rules. This makes it
much clearer what’s actually being served to the web, and what’s being
bundled by webpack. It also shrinks the release tarball by 3%.
