Mateusz Mandera ac14a8bcf5 typed_endpoint: Rename WebhookPayload to JsonBodyPayload.
This kind of payload that's loaded from json in the body of the request
is not only used for webhooks, but also in the push bouncer, and may get
used elsewhere too - so a general name is better.

Anders Kaseorg cf4791264c python: Replace functools.partial with type-safe returns.curry.partial.
The type annotation for functools.partial uses unchecked Any for all
the function parameters (both early and late). returns.curry.partial
uses a mypy plugin to check the parameters safely.

Zixuan James Li 9377080f1f webhooks: Migrate most webhooks to use @typed_endpoint.
This converts most webhook integration views to use @typed_endpoint instead
of @has_request_variables, rewriting REQ parameters. For these
webhooks, it simply requires switching the decorator, rewriting the
type annotation of payload/message to WebhookPayload[WildValue], and
removing the REQ default that defines the to_wild_value converter.

Anders Kaseorg df001db1a9 black: Reformat with Black 23.
Black 23 enforces some slightly more specific rules about empty line
counts and redundant parenthesis removal, but the result is still
compatible with Black 22.

(This does not actually upgrade our Python environment to Black 23
yet.)

a dict with the generic success response values.

Eeshan Garg 8697d98652 webhooks/clubhouse: Ignore label removals for story batch updates.
9ac55a8cf6 introduced support for
batch updates to stories. However, that commit didn't skip label
removals, as we already do in non-batch story payloads. This led
to an exception for batch story update payloads where labels were
removed but none were added.

PIG208 5ecbfecd77 webhook: Rename FIXTURE_DIR_NAME to WEBHOOK_DIR_NAME.
Since FIXTURE_DIR_NAME is the name of the folder that contains the view
and tests modules of the webhook and another folder called "fixtures" that
store the fixtures, it is more appropriate to call it WEBHOOK_DIR_NAME,
especially when we want to refer to the view module using this variable.

PIG208 9ac55a8cf6 integrations: Support handling batch updates for Clubhouse.

PIG208 f5528c38c2 integrations: Allow PR updates to multiple stories for Clubhouse.
The fixture "story_update_add_github_pull_request" is changed here as it
doesn't make sense to link a story to a PR without having "pull_request_ids"
changed. The previous example is likely a mistake which occurs when you try
to add a PR that has already been added to a story. This commit also allows
comments under the PR that link it to a story to be sent to the stream.

Alex Vandiver 9ea9752e0e webhooks: Rename UnexpectedWebhookEventType to UnsupportedWebhookEventType.
Any exception is an "unexpected event", which means talking about
having an "unexpected event logger" or "unexpected event exception" is
confusing. As the error message in `exceptions.py` already explains,
this is about an _unsupported_ event type.

This also switches the path that these exceptions are written to,
accordingly.
2020-09-10 17:47:21 -07:00
Alex Vandiver 8016769613 webhooks: Move UnexpectedWebhookEventType into zerver.lib.exceptions.
8e10ab282a moved UnexpectedWebhookEventType into
`zerver.lib.exceptions`, but left the import into
`zserver.lib.webhooks.common` so that webhooks could continue to
import the exception from there.

This clutters things and adds complexity; there is no compelling
reason that the exception's source of truth should not move alongside
all other exceptions.

Steve Howell 388053db6b webhook tests: Rename main helper to check_webhook.
Almost all webhook tests use this helper, except a few
webhooks that write to private streams.

Being concise is important here, and the name
`self.send_and_test_stream_message` always confused
me, since it sounds you're sending a stream message,
and it leaves out the webhook piece.

We should consider renaming `send_and_test_private_message`
to something like `check_webhook_private`, but I couldn't
decide on a great name, and it's very rarely used. So
for now I just made sure the docstrings of the two
sibling functions reference each other.

Anders Kaseorg 365fe0b3d5 python: Sort imports with isort.
Fixes #2665.

Regenerated by tabbott with `lint --fix` after a rebase and change in
parameters.

Note from tabbott: In a few cases, this converts technical debt in the
form of unsorted imports into different technical debt in the form of
our largest files having very long, ugly import sequences at the
start. I expect this change will increase pressure for us to split
those files, which isn't a bad thing.

Anders Kaseorg 840cf4b885 requirements: Drop direct dependency on mock.
mock is just a backport of the standard library’s unittest.mock now.

The SAMLAuthBackendTest change is needed because
MagicMock.call_args.args wasn’t introduced until Python
3.8 (https://bugs.python.org/issue21269).

The PROVISION_VERSION bump is skipped because mock is still an

This commit was split by tabbott; this piece covers the vast majority

We can likely further refine the remaining pieces with some testing.

Eeshan Garg cfe0f6b56d webhooks/clubhouse: Account for bug in GitHub branch payloads.
This change was prompted by a possible bug on Clubhouse's end. In
general, if a branch is added, it also prompts a workflow state
transition in its primary story.

However, our webhook error logs show an erroneous payload where
the same branch is added to another story, but there is no
workflow state transition. Also, both the stories are grouped in
the same payload, which confused/broke our code. Ideally, this
shouldn't happen and is most likely a bug on Clubhouse's end.
In most cases, changes included in Clubhouse payloads never
pertain to more than one parent entity (stories) simultaneously,
and we usually operate under the assumption that the changes
included therein are related to each other in terms of their
parent object (story or epic) and not a child object (the GitHub
branch).
