Updates various areas of the backend code that generate
JsonableErrors with translated strings to use channel
instead of stream.
Part of stream to channel rename project.
This is preparatory work towards adding a Topic model.
We plan to use the local variable name as 'topic' for
the Topic model objects.
Currently, we use *topic as the local variable name for
topic names.
We rename local variables of the form *topic to *topic_name
so that we don't need to think about type collisions in
individual code paths where we might want to talk about both
Topic objects and strings for the topic name.
These were written before the draft endpoints were converted to use
@typed_endpoint and pydantic-based DraftData(BaseModel) for param
validation. Update them to avoid the confusion of talking about dicts
and dict_validator functions when those are no longer a thing.
This demonstrates the use of BaseModel to replace a check_dict_only
validator.
We also add support to referring to $defs in the OpenAPI tests. In the
future, we can descend down each object instead of mapping them to dict
for more accurate checks.
We only need ID of the recipient and not the full object, so we
directly access ID using "stream.recipient_id" instead of using
the complete recipient object.
This removes ViewFuncT and all the associated type casts with ParamSpec
and Concatenate. This provides more accurate type annotation for
decorators at the cost of making the concatenated parameters
positional-only. This change does not intend to introduce any other
behavioral difference. Note that we retype args in process_view as
List[object] because the view functions can not only be called with
arguments of type str.
Note that the first argument of rest_dispatch needs to be made
positional-only because of the presence of **kwargs.

django.utils.translation.ugettext is a deprecated alias of
django.utils.translation.gettext as of Django 3.0, and will be removed
in Django 4.0.
Commit e7ed907cf6 (#18174) fixed this
before, but new instances have been added.

The main reason why this is needed is because this seems to be
convention and because we can't easily test event creation without
doing this.
