Gittenburg 42f20e81be emoji_picker: Fix inconsistency in edge case.
Previously clicking on an existing message reaction (outside of the
emoji picker) while having the emoji picker open, removed the reaction
without updating the highlighting of the reacted emoji in the emoji
picker.

The emoji picker already is already closed when clicking outside.
The message reaction click handler however previously stopped the event
propagation, leaving the picker open, allowing the inconsistency.

Steve Howell 9423d150ac emoji_picker: Add expectOne to emoji_picker.navigate.
There is apparently some way to have two instances
of `.emoji-popover-emoji-map`, although I can't
reproduce it.

This causes an `expectOne` check to fail fairly
deep in the stack.

Now we report it more directly.

This commit and a few previous ones mostly
address #15348 by trying to either a) not
depending on having a single instance of
the popover or b) making it more explicit
in cases where do expect that invariant.

Steve Howell 91dec2729f refactor: Extract $emoji_map in navigate().
This is just a pure refactor for now, but
we may want to modify this to more precisely
determine the active map (in case multiple
pickers are open for some reason).

Gittenburg 12671fbc66 emoji_picker: Add missing Flags category.
Apparently iamcal/emoji-data has a dedicated category for flag emojis.

And get_all_emoji_categories() in emoji_picker.js doesn't return the
Flags category, because we haven't declared that category in our emoji
data logic.

Note that the category looks quite sparse because it lacks country
flags, since we don't yet support emojis combined with a ‍Zero Width
Joiner (ZWJ) (see #992 & #11767).

Fixes #15303.

Steve Howell f59cca2dcd reactions: Rewrite code to use clean reactions.
Before this commit, the reactions code would
take the `message.reactions` structure from
the server and try to "collapse" all the reactions
for the same users into the same reactions,
but with each reaction having a list of user_ids.
It was a strangely denormalized structure that
was awkward to work with, and it made it really
hard to reason about whether the data was in
the original structure that the server sent or
the modified structure.

Now we use a cleaner, normalized Map to keep
each reaction (i.e. one per emoji), and we
write that to `message.clean_reactions`.

The `clean_reactions` structure is now the
authoritatize source for all reaction-related
operations. As soon as you try to do anything
with reactions, we build the `clean_reactions`
data on the fly from the server data.

In particular, when we process events, we just
directly manipulate the `clean_reactions` data,
which is much easier to work with, since it's
a Map and doesn't duplicate any data.

This rewrite should avoid some obscure bugs.

I use `r` as shorthand for the clean reaction
structures, so as not to confuse it with
data from the server's message.reactions.

It also avoids some confusion where we use
`reaction` as a var name for the reaction
elements.

Steve Howell 011d52470c refactor: Move popular_emojis to typeahead library.
I removed a slightly confusing code comment, which I
will address in a follow up commit. Basically,
"slight smile" still doesn't win over "small airplane"
when you search for "sm", which kind of defeats the
purpose of having popular_emojis for the typeahead
use case. This is a problem with sort_emojis, though,
so when the comment was next to the list of popular
emojis, it wasn't really actionable.

His plan is to merge the remaining changes with more precise care,
potentially involving merging parts of conflicting pull requests

Bootstrap v2.2.0^2~40^2~6 changes this default to false, so this is a

This closes an HTML injection path via user full names in the emoji

scripting because we disallow `>` in full names, and the code happens
to be written such that the next `>` is in a different parser

Steve Howell b1f58fb1ff emoji picker: Prevent cropping.
We now use `fix_positions` to avoid cropping the emoji
picker. You can see cropping pretty easily on a short
screen if you click the smiley icon for reactions on a
message. It's a bit tricky to repro, since some
of the current top/bottom placements are correct, but
it's definitely reproducible.

I think there are opportunities to both simplify
and optimize `popovers.compute_placement`, so that it
plays nicer with `fix_positions`. For example, I would
bias it even more strongly toward favoring right/left
placement. But there are complicating factors--it is
also used by the hotspot code.

And I wanted to especially preserve the current
behavior when you launch the picker from the compose

Harshit Bansal d386706382 emoji: Fix traceback on opening emoji popover in quick succession.
Since the bootstrap popovers are destroyed asynchronously so opening a
emoji popover in quick succession like by clicking the reaction button
on another message was causing a race condition which was causing some
operations to be applied on a destroyed emoji popover. This commit
fixes it by making sure to apply any operations only to the currently
active popover.

Steve Howell 82e453d9fe ui: Fix scrollbar regressions.
In between releases, the following commit introduced
a bug where we agressively scroll to the top every
place we call `ui.update_scrollbar`:

    092b73d0b7

The main symptoms were that the left and right sidebars
would go to the top for things like selecting a topic,
getting activity updates from the server, and resizing
the window. It was very jarring.

The recent commit looked innocuous--the root of the problem
was the original API expressed an intent to scroll to the
top, but didn't actually do it, so it was a bug in hiding.

There are **some** occasions where it's actually appropriate
to scroll to the top, mostly around search filtering, and
in those places we now call the new `ui.reset_scrollbar`
function.

This is a bit of an emergency fix, so particularly with
the settings stuff, we may get more reports of glitches here.

The important thing here is that you almost never want to
reset the scrollTop for sidebars.

Harshit Bansal 88bc78645d emoji: Move `emoji_collection` from emoji picker to emoji.js.
This commit moves the `emoji_collection` datasource in the emoji
picker to emoji.js and renames it to `emojis_by_name`. It is a
mapping from emoji name to object where each object describes an
emoji. This is an effort in the direction of de-duplicating and
unifying the datasets being used by various our widgets(like
emoji picker and composebox typeahead) in the webapp. Migrating
all the widgets to a single datasource will help us in removing
the whole class of annoying bugs which causes some emojis to be
missing from some widgets.

Harshit Bansal bf70955c0c emoji: Update `emoji-datasource` packages.
This commit updates the `emoji-datasource` packages to version 4.0.4.
This update brings following changes to emoji infra:

1: Fix for the bleeding sprite sheets.

2: The category of some emojis has been changed. Categorywise breakup of
net gain or loss is as follows:
    Travel & Places: 58 (gain)
    Symbols: 47 (loss)
    Smileys & People: 52 (gain)
    Objects: 11 (loss)
    Food & Drink: 3 (gain)
    Animals and Nature: 46 (gain)
    Activities: 9 (loss)

3: There were some changes in the image farm of the package which were
breaking our old emoji farm. I fixed them by modifying the remapped
   emoji map.

Armaan Ahluwalia 6d255efe4c app: Prepare JS files for consumption by webpack.
This commit prepares the frontend code to be consumed by webpack.

It is a hack: In theory, modules should be declaring and importing the
modules they depend on and the globals they expose directly.

However, that requires significant per-module work, which we don't
really want to block moving our toolchain to webpack on.

So we expose the modules by setting window.varName = varName; as
needed in the js files.

Aditya Bansal e1cc0455ee emoji_picker: Fix issue with emoji tab shifting.
In this commit we basically do these things:
* Clear up section_head_offsets before pushing stuff in it so that
its size doesn't keep on growing indefinitely with time and users
opening emoji picker.
* Make use of popover element to find the correct element in DOM
to scan for section elements. This prevents us from filling stuff
twice into section_head_offsets because of presence of two
elements for '.emoji-popover-subheading' in DOM since popover
destroy is an async call.
* Using this popover element also helps in avoiding manuplation
of the DOM elements of the popover that was destroyed (Because
popover destroy is async it still maybe around). One instance of
this is associating scroll event with the right instance of
'.emoji-popover-emoji-map'.
