We show a spinner inside the button instead of hiding the button
and then showing the spinner in the bottom area. We also disable
the button to avoid repetitive clicking by user.
We remove the small CSS class, which set the font size as something
tiny, and also restructure it with a fixed height and more natural
markup for the reset link.
This commit divides the user_invite_restriction setting dropdown to
a checkbox and a dropdown.
The checkbox is used for 'realm_invite_required' setting and dropdown
for 'realm_invite_to_realm_policy'.
This separation of UI elements is fine as these two settings are
separate in database also and also helps in removing excess if-else
conditions and switch cases.
A modal is added to edit the realm linkifier which
supports ui_report error.
Puppeteer tests to verify linkifier update and an
invalid test to verify that linkifier error messages
are reported on the modal are added as well.
The design of the form is similar to the linkifiers page
and is styled similarly.
The introduction text for "Code playgrounds" is improved
with more details and examples.
Also, we can remove the hardcoded playground and the fix
we had previously done to prevent breaking the hardcoded
playground.
Introduce a new class "table-sticky-headers" in the settings
and organisation settings HTML table tags and it is used
to make the table headers fix at the top. This commit also
add the background-color and hover properties to the
settings and organisation settings table to make them look
similar to the recent_topics_table.
This commit fixes the issue of error message not getting
displayed when the `Full name` field, in bots settings, is given
a duplicate name of an already created bot with the same name.
We were closing the modal each time whether the request is
successful or not. Hence, we now close the modal only
when the request is successful and error is displayed on
the modal otherwise.
Fixes#18091.
Restructured dropdown_list_widget template to unwrap label tag
from the control group, hence defaulting the edit_bot
dropdown items to their original text size.
"Alert Words" is one of Zulip's oldest settings UI elements, and as a
result is buggy. This commit converts it to use our standard
progressive-table-wrapper system used for settings tables, which has
the side effect of fixing a bug that mad ethe tables look pretty bad
if one adds a very long word.
Fixes#17172.
The textarea in Settings/User Profile was overflowing in
smaller width devices.
This commit fixes that issue by adding appropriate media queries.

On a high-DPI display or with a non-default zoom level, the browser
viewport may have a width strictly between md_max = 767px and md_min =
768px. Use only the *_min bounds for consistency.
This requires queries with strict inequalities to express upper
bounds (width < md_min). Fortunately, that functionality is provided
by range context queries. Unfortunately, those are not supported in
all browsers. Fortunately, we can compile them away using
postcss-media-minmax. Unfortunately, postcss-media-minmax currently
subtracts 1px for strict inequalities anyway to work around a Safari
rounding bug. Fortunately, 0.02px should be sufficient for that, so I
submitted a PR:

Since the bots list breaks at 625px with left col of settings
hidden and at 850px with left col of settings visible
without this media query,
having this media query trigger at 991px shouldn't produce
any problems.
For dropdown elements, use bootstrap styling. The styling
was not applied by default from bootstrap since we
use a combination of dropdown + simplebar for this element.
This doesn't match the expected structure of elements by
bootstrap since simplebar inserts elements of its own.
The style is same as in bootstrap v2.3.2 for
.dropdown-menu > li > a.
css-loader@4 broke @import statements referencing files with
extensions other than .css, unless those @import statements are
compiled away by another loader. Upstream is more interested in
arguing that such @import statements are semantically incorrect than
applying the one line fix.

This commit transitions all styles in app.css in the Django pipeline
to being compiled by webpack in an app-styles bundle, and renames the
various files to now be processed as SCSS.
To implement this transition, we move the old CSS file refernces in
settings.py and replace them with a bundle declared in
`webpack.assets.json` and includedn in the index.html template
Tweaked by tabbott to keep the list of files in `app.css` in
`webpack.assets.json`, and to preserve the ordering from the old
`settings.py`.
Add realm setting to set time limit for message deleitng.
Set default value of message_content_delete_limit_seconds
to 600 seconds(10 min).

This coverts the "checkbox" for `realm_allow_message_editing` and
"input" for `realm_message_content_edit_limit_seconds` into a
dropdown with the option for custom time limit option.
In 7b8da9b we have introduced some other checkmark icons
which aren't necessary as old icons still make sense there.
So removing them as they don't add any extra value.

Introduced a new checkmark icon in the settings page
from entypo ( www.entypo.com ) to make icons more
consistent between user and organization settings.
This commit changes the way the save and discard buttons on the
organization profile, settings and permissions tabs look and fades
them out after a delay. It also cleans up the code a bit in the
settings_org.js file. It introduces changes to the css in
settings.css as well as the template for save-discard buttons.
It also fixes a bug on the user settings whereby if an option
that requires reload is clicked before clicking an option that does
not require reload, the reload message is erased. This could create
an issue where the user is not aware that a reload is required.
The loader is also changed to using fa-icon as loading spinner on
user settings and the colors are tweaked a little bit.
It removes code related to custom profile field's placeholder styling
and related to numeric custom fields, as recently we removed support
for numeric custom fields.
Now that we have support for displaying custom profile fields, this
adds administrator-level support for creating them.
Tweaked by tabbott to fix a few small bugs and clean up the commit message.

With this "Save" button is only shown when there are changes in a
subsection. This means if we changed a setting and reverted it back to
original ones, then, "Save" button will get disappear. Hence, we're shown
"Save" when there are some property changes to send to the server.
This makes each subsection(like "Message feed") independent of changes
done in any other subsection and the save button of each subsection
saves the changes done in that subsection only.
Clicking the cancel button removes all the changes and the user
group returns back to the original state. Saved button is showed
once the changes are saved on blur.
This makes the textarea responsive by making the width 100% and
the max-width 500px so that it doesn't get *too* wide.
Please close#8511 when this is merged.

This removes `create-stream-dropdown` class from the template and css
because it is causing irregularity in size of other permissions dropdown
because of `right-margin` and removing it makes all the dropdown
regularly sized.
This makes it easier for users to tell how Zulip ended up with an
avatar for them without them uploading one: through the Gravatar
service used across many Wordpress blogs.

This replaces the cumbersome system we had for giving users feedback
on settings state changes in the display settings UI.
We expect this new system to be what we will attempt to migrate other
settings widgets to match over the coming weeks and months. It also
provides the opportunity to significant refactor away a lot of the
code duplication in settings_display.js.

This adds button under "Organization profile" settings, which
deactivates the organization and sends an "event" to all the
active user and log out them.
Fixes: #8212.
This properly vertically centers the deactivation modal in the
user settings section by setting the top to 50% and the transform
to -50% (50% of the height of the actual modal).
This is an alternate solution to #7888, which just removes the
animation, breaking the normal modal behavior.
This makes this UI widget more consistent with its neighbors.
tabbott: This introduces a bug with how the `full_name_field` HTML is
managed; it should be done via the `server_events.js` handler.
We no longer have a special UI setting and model
field ("emoji_alt_code") for saying users want text-only
emojis. We now instead make "text" be a fifth choice
for "emojiset".

Adds type "embedded bot" to bot creation menu. Lets
users select a bot to run from a list of bots.
Currently, this list is hard-coded into the backend.
Fixes#7374. Since we use `table-layout: fixed`, the width of the first
row are applied to all the remaining rows, thus wrapping all the columns
to 20% width. This is fixed by making the selector specific to only
user_rows and not the editable data row.
The CSS linter was pretty hard to reason about. It was
pretty flexible about certain things, but then it would
prevent seemingly innocuous code from getting checked in.
This commit overhauls the pretty-printer to be more composable,
where every object in the AST knows how to render itself. It
also cleans up a little bit of the pre_fluff/post_fluff logic
in the parser itself, so comments are more likely to be "attached"
to the AST node that make sense.
The linter is actually a bit more finicky about newlines, but
this is mostly a good thing, as most of the variations before
this commit were pretty arbitrary.
This restyles and rewords some of the emoji style section to look
better and fit it more with the current style guide.
Tweaked by tabbott to modify the historical migration rather than
adding a new one. This is OK because the emojiset choices text change
doesn't touch the database; it's just a Django Python code thing.
Also removed translation tags, since we don't need them for a set of
brand names.
This allows a user to scroll all the way down on the sidebar and the
main panel in the settings page on narrow height windows by removing
the min-height specification and making the “Log out” line in the
sidebar become statically positioned at shorter heights.

Lets administrators view a list of open(unconfirmed) invitations and
resend or revoke a chosen invitation.
There are a few changes that we can expect for the future:
* It is currently possible to invite an email that you have already
invited, it might make sense to change this behavior.
* Resend currently sends an invite reminder instead of resending the
original invite, this is because 'custom_body' was not stored when
the first invite was sent.
Tweaked in various minor ways, primarily in the backend, by tabbott,
mostly for style consistency with the rest of the codebase.

This sets the column width of the upload table actions and size
columns to always be 75 so that the buttons are always in the same
line and take up the least amount of space possible with that
constraint.
The list needs to be set to use perfectScrollbar so that it can
scroll due to the fact that it resides within another instance of
perfectScrollbar.

The progressively rendered table extends too far down, causing the page
to scroll needlessly, which then causes there to be two scrollbars — a
scrollbar for the table and a view scrollbar outside that.

The profile group (name, description, avatar) were split into a new
page that did not previously exist, and the permissions was stripped
of message settings (message editing, message feed), but keeping the
"waiting period" input and putting it in the "Streams & custom emoji"
section.

That's what the font is actually called, and should help future Zulip
developers save time trying to figure out what's up and why our font
is unrelated to the "Humbug" font on the Internet.
The hack used to make the placeholders in the ::after element
work correctly is no longer needed, so we can revert the width
of 200% back to 100%.
The hack is no longer required because Vaida split these into
two tables, of which in the second table there are no columns,
which means that 100% represents the table width rather than
the width of the first column.

Use perfectScrollbar on settings sidebar, since the default scrollbar
makes settings menu break when not enough vertical space available.
Add perfectScrollbar to main settings section, and reset the scrollbar
position when switching between tabs.
Also delete the z-index on `.settings-list` since it makes the
perfectScrollbar covered.

This makes the avatar portion more responsive and efficient on many
screen settings and also fixes some of the design incongruences present
on the page.
Added a dropdown in the organization settings page with a search-box and
required styles. Also added an element to disable it. Added a method to
populate the dropdown using list_rendering.js. Also altered response to
the event of deletion of the notifications stream on the frontend. On
selection of a new stream or on clicking 'Disable', a patch request is
made with stream-id to /json/realm.
