Fixes#2665.
Regenerated by tabbott with `lint --fix` after a rebase and change in
parameters.
Note from tabbott: In a few cases, this converts technical debt in the
form of unsorted imports into different technical debt in the form of
our largest files having very long, ugly import sequences at the
start. I expect this change will increase pressure for us to split
those files, which isn't a bad thing.

We also switch the underlying exctact_mention_text method to use
a regular for loop, as well as make the related methods return
tuples of (names, is_wildcard). This abstraction is hidden from the
MentionData callers behind mention_data.message_has_wildcards().
Concerns #13430.
Previous cleanups (mostly the removals of Python __future__ imports)
were done in a way that introduced leading newlines. Delete leading
newlines from all files, except static/assets/zulip-emoji/NOTICE,
which is a verbatim copy of the Apache 2.0 license.

These mentions look like regular mentions except they do not
trigger any notification for the person mentioned. These are
primarily to be used when you make a bot take an action and
the bot mentions you, or when you quote a message that mentions
you.
Fixes#11221.
This adds the data model and bugdown support for the new UserGroup
mention feature.
Before it'll be fully operational, we'll still need:
* A backend API for making these.
* A UI for interacting with that API.
* Typeahead on the frontend.
* CSS to make them look pretty and see who's in them.
It's unlikely to be of any real consequence, but this code bugged me
in that it makes a whole set before throwing it away to make nearly
the same set.
Sadly Python's comprehensions lack a way to write these cleanly as one
comprehension; but with no extra code complexity we can make the
temporary a genexp, which does the job.
We now triage message content for possible mentions before
going to the cache/DB to get name info. This will create an
extra data hop for messages with mentions, but it will save
a fairly expensive cache lookup for most messages. (This will
be especially helpful for large realms.)
[Note that we need a subsequent commit to actually make the speedup
happen here, since avatars also cause us to look up all users in
the realm.]
Given typeahed and the fact that this only worked if the person had a
full name that didn't contain whitespace, this side effect of the
original @shortname mentionfeature that we removed was experienced by
users as a bug.
Fixes#6142.
We want to avoid opening a DB connection in the markdown thread
as its DB connection might live for a long time
(imported from commit 7700b2ca793ee5e9add7f071b92f22a4bf576b3d)
This needs to be deployed to both staging and prod at the same
off-peak time (and the schema migration run).
At the time it is deployed, we need to make a few changes directly in
the database:
(1) UPDATE django_content_type set app_label='zerver' where app_label='zephyr';
(2) UPDATE south_migrationhistory set app_name='zerver' where app_name='zephyr';
