Previously, these were only shown for Mac OS users and replaced
the "Home", "End", "PgUp" and "PgDn" shortcuts. But as this really
depends on the keyboard the user is using (there are Mac keyboards
with the above keys), we instead show both options in our web app
and help center documentation on keyboard shortcuts.
The tooltip for the "Scroll to bottom" button will now always show
"End" for all users. Previously, it showed a "Fn" key option for
Mac users.
Fixes#31815.
Document setting the keys that will send a message or create a new
line when composting a message via the compose box and via the
personal settings overlay.
Updates links and redirect from former help center article about
this feature.
Fixes#31620.
Document the keyboard shortcut for sending a message and
inserting a line that can be used at all times, and then
describe the keyboard shortcuts for those actions that
are based on the user's "Enter to send" configuration.
Add to the help center and in-app shortcuts overlay, near the existing
"Go to combined feed" shortcut, documentation for the similar inbox/recent view
navigation shortcuts.
This commit adds '*' as a keyboard shortcut to navigate to the starred messages view and the shortcut is documented in various required locations accordingly.
Fixes#31397.
This commit renames "View message source" to "View original message".
The meaning of "original" in this context is very similar to what
source/source code means in software jargon, while being easier to
understand and translate for a non-tech savvy user.
The read receipts option, resides under the triple-dot message actions
menu. This made the process of viewing the read receipts take up
multiple steps, even via a keyboard-driven workflow.
Via this commit, now while focused on any message in a message feed,
and pressing `Shift` + `V`, efficiently brings up the read receipts
for that message.

Though the correct mapping for Alt in Mac is Option, we had so far been
mapping it to Command, since for the 2 pre-existing shortcuts that used
Alt, Command was the only key that worked on Mac. However, these are
exceptions.
Now we map Alt to Option, and handle the 2 exceptions separately, using
data attributes on those shortcut elements.
This is a prep commit for introducing a hotkey that uses Alt / Option.
This commit renames "default" views to "home" views in the setting
labels, keyboard shortcuts list, help documentation and its urls.
This commit does not do changes in variable and class names, setting
field in database, API docs and changelog.

Earlier, the `s` hotkey just narrowed to the stream of the selected
message (to a topic), while `shift+s` narrowed to the conversation view
(topic / dm) of the selected message.
Now, the `shift+s` hotkey has been removed (but retained for toggling
subscription to a stream when the stream overlay is active), and the `s`
hotkey takes on double duty: if the current view is not topic / dm, it
narrows to that, else when in topic view, it switches to stream view. It
has no effect when in dm view. Documentation has been updated for this
both in the help center, and the in-app `Keyboard shortcuts` menu.
A deprecation notice has been added for `shift+s` as well.
Fixes: #24226.
A new hotkey, lowercase `z` (for `zoom`) has been implemented to allow
the user to go to the near view of the selected message with 1 keypress.
Documentation has been added for this both in the help center, and the
in-app `Keyboard shortcuts` menu.
The effect is identical to clicking on a message's timestamp, which
links to that message's near view.
Fixes: #24227.
These files are not Jinja2 templates, so there's no reason that they needed
to be inside `templates/zerver`. Moving them to the top level reflects their
importance and also makes it feel nicer to work on editing the help center content,
without it being unnecessary buried deep in the codebase.
