Given that these values are uuids, it's better to use UUIDField which is
meant for exactly that, rather than an arbitrary CharField.
This requires modifying some tests to use valid uuids.
`Press Enter to send` used to hide `Send` button, we remove that
behaviour.
We show the current state of `Enter` hotkey action via text below
`Send` button which can toggle behaviour on click.
String 'Here are a few messages I understand:'(next commit) was failing
./tools/check-capitalization check because of the capital I. I added
'I understand' to the IGNORED_PHRASES list in tools/lib/capitalization.py.
Adding "I" was working as well but didn't seem to me as a very great fix.
Strangely enough, adding " I " to the list made the test fail again
(With a lot of failed strings this time) as mentioned in the following
CZO thread.

This will be useful to let users enable/disable
sharing read receipts once we add that feature.
Note: Added "I've" to IGNORED_PHRASES in
tools/lib/capitalization.py to avoid capitalization
errors for the label text of this setting.
We recently added a lot of new pages to our top navigation and
restructured top-navigation in general. This commit updates the
footer to reflect the recent changes to our top navigation.
We use GIPHY web SDK to create popover containing GIFs in a
grid format. Simply clicking on the GIFs will insert the GIF in the compose
box.
We add GIPHY logo to compose box action icons which opens the GIPHY
picker popover containing GIFs with "Powered by GIPHY"
attribution.
The "Narrow to PM with" notification above the composebox was
double-escaped, mangling names with single quotes in them. This removes
the escaping in i18next, causing the name to be escaped only in
handlebars.
Fixes#2665.
Regenerated by tabbott with `lint --fix` after a rebase and change in
parameters.
Note from tabbott: In a few cases, this converts technical debt in the
form of unsorted imports into different technical debt in the form of
our largest files having very long, ugly import sequences at the
start. I expect this change will increase pressure for us to split
those files, which isn't a bad thing.

Generated by pyupgrade --py36-plus --keep-percent-format, but with the
NamedTuple changes reverted (see commit

This experimental setting disables sending private messages in Zulip
in a crude way (i.e. users get an error when they try to send one).
It makes no effort to adjust the UI to avoid advertising the idea of
sending private messages.
Fixes#6617.
Previous cleanups (mostly the removals of Python __future__ imports)
were done in a way that introduced leading newlines. Delete leading
newlines from all files, except static/assets/zulip-emoji/NOTICE,
which is a verbatim copy of the Apache 2.0 license.

When we add Plus, the first sentence should change to "Available on Zulip
Standard and Plus".
I copied the styling of .tip out of expediency, but it's also possible that
long term we'll want only 1 tip-like box styling.
The hover styling is a bit random, but I tried to copy other hover styles I
found in settings.scss.
Note that this renames .upgrade_realm_plan_type_suggestion to .upgrade-tip.
Accomplished by adding a function to clear the status message with
an empty string. The html is then updated to reflect changes without a
refresh.
Currently, it's a small hassle to clear a status message. This option
makes things a bit easier.
Fixes#11630.
Makes the i18n strings in this file much easier to translate by splitting
them into smaller chunks (which avoids having a lot of code in the tagged
strings), and adds a string that was missing as well.
This adds a tour of Zulip to the bottom of the homepage.
In order to get the carousel nave, we use Bootstrap 2 from a CDN on
this page; this isn't ideal in the medium term, but upgrading
Bootstrap across the project is too much work for now.
This replaces the cumbersome system we had for giving users feedback
on settings state changes in the display settings UI.
We expect this new system to be what we will attempt to migrate other
settings widgets to match over the coming weeks and months. It also
provides the opportunity to significant refactor away a lot of the
code duplication in settings_display.js.
Thanks to Brock Whittaker for redoing the styling and improving the
code simplicity.
Fixes#7622.
Tweaked by tabbott to not remove it from lister.py, linter_lib, and
friends, since those are intended to support both Python 2 and 3
(we're planning to extract them from the repository).
This makes it possible for the Zulip mobile apps to use the normal web
authentication/Oauth flows, so that they can support GitHub, Google,
and other authentication methods we support on the backend, without
needing to write significant custom mobile-app-side code for each
authentication backend.
This PR only provides support for Google auth; a bit more refactoring
would be needed to support this for the GitHub/Social backends.
Modified by tabbott to use the mobile_auth_otp library to protect the
API key.
Some Handlebars strings contained whitespaces characters at their ends.
With this, such characters are removed, as well as multiple spaces
(like the ones produced by code indentation).
This also includes a couple of fixes that removes spaces that were
intentionally placed before/after the string to translate.
Adds a new webhook integration for Slack to receive messages
from one's Slack team's public channels.
Contains negative tests for broken, missing or invalid data.
Allows two different option for integration:
1. Receive notification on a single stream with different topics
for each of Slack's public channels.
2. Receive notification on different streams for each of Slack's
public channels.
Steps to choose between the two options is described in the documentation.
