ES and TypeScript modules are strict by default and don’t need this
directive. ESLint will remind us to add it to new CommonJS files and
remove it from ES and TypeScript modules.

Prettier would do this anyway, but it’s separated out for a more
reviewable diff. Generated by ESLint.

This commit changes receives_notifications function to use
stream_ids instead of stream names. We are using stream ids so
that we can avoid bugs related to live update after stream rename.
This commit adds message retention policy details in the subscription_type
text below the stream description.
We do not show any text when realm-level settings is set to forever and
stream-level is set to either forever or realm_default.
This commits adds the code for live update of stream_post_policy in
subscription_type text in stream settings.
This is done by passing stream_data.stream_post_policy_values to the
template data, which were not passed previously and the if conditions
were not evaluated correctly.
This commit changes the stream settings UI for adding subscribers to
use our standard user pills in the input box, rather than just
plain-text email addresses. This is important progress towards
removing display email addresses from the Zulip UI.
It also allows subscribing multiple users at the same time, which is a
nice improvement.
For some widgets we now avoid duplicate redraw
events from this old pattern:
widget = list_render.create(..., {
}).init();
widget.sort(...);
The above code was wasteful and possibly
flicker-y due to the fact that `init` and
`sort` both render.
Now we do this:
widget = list_render.create(..., {
init_sort: [...],
});
For other widgets we just clean up the need
to call `init()` right after `create()`.
We also allow widgets to pass in `sort_fields`
during initialization (since you may want to
have `init_sort` use a custom sort before the
first render.)
Finally, we make the second and third calls
eliminate the prior updates from the previous
widget. This can prevent strange bugs with
double-reversing columns (although that's
been prevented in a better way with a recent
commit), as well as avoiding double work
with sorting.
Original email address is shown to admin users in subscriber list when
email_address_visibilty is set to "Admins only" by passing delivery_email
at required places. Email address are not shown to non-admin users when
visibility is set to "Admins only".
Tweaked by tabbott to fix a few bugs and dead code.
Fixes a part of #13541.
This commit includes a new `stream_post_policy` setting,
by replacing the `is_announcement_only` field from the Stream model,
which is done by mirroring the structure of the existing
`create_stream_policy`.
It includes the necessary schema and database migrations to migrate
the is_announcement_only boolean field to stream_post_policy,
a smallPositiveInteger field similar to many other settings.
This change is done to allow organization administrators to restrict
new members from creating and posting to a stream. However, this does
not affect admins who are new members.
With many tweaks by tabbott to documentation under /help, etc.
Fixes#13616.
This fixes the buggy behavior for streams which inherits the notification
setting from UserProfile, and are actively opened in "Streams > Stream
settings", if a user has opened two browser windows, and changes the
notification setting from "Settings > Notifications", then the changes
don't reflect such "Streams > Stream settings" notification setting
checkboxes for such stream.
Partially fixes: #12304.
It's a bit confusing when you read this code to know
where the original list was created. I'm not a huge
fan of the cache scheme here, but it does seem to
work for live updates.
This commit was originally automatically generated using `tools/lint
--only=eslint --fix`. It was then modified by tabbott to contain only
changes to a set of files that are unlikely to result in significant
merge conflicts with any open pull request, excluding about 20 files.
His plan is to merge the remaining changes with more precise care,
potentially involving merging parts of conflicting pull requests
before running the `eslint --fix` operation.

With webpack, variables declared in each file are already file-local
(Global variables need to be explicitly exported), so these IIFEs are
no longer needed.

Bootstrap v2.2.0^2~40^2~6 changes this default to false, so this is a
prerequisite to upgrading Bootstrap, and it’s also safer.
This closes an HTML injection path via user full names in the emoji
reaction tooltip. It doesn’t appear to be exploitable for cross-site
scripting because we disallow `>` in full names, and the code happens
to be written such that the next `>` is in a different parser
invocation.

perfect-scrollbar replaces both the appearance and the behavior of the
scrollbar, and its emulated behavior will never feel native on most
platforms. SimpleBar customizes the appearance while preserving the
native behavior.

When guest user is subscribed to public stream, it throws json
error. Because when guest user is subscribed to public stream,
the `stream-sub-count` element is not initialized.
This commit fix this error, by editing the function
`rerender_subscribers_count` to intialize the element
first, when guest user is subscribed.
This commit add code to redirect guest users to
subscribed-stream-tab and removes the recently-unsubscribed
stream from settings tab on unsubscription.
This commit adds `stream_ui_updates.js` module. This module
will includes functions which will update different ui elements
(i.e. subscription button, subscriber count).
