We used to hide and show topic rows in the DOM when topics are
updated. This resulted in incorrect calculations in the length of
visible topics. As a consequence, focus is sometimes set to hidden topic.
Removing hidden topics from DOM helps us keep
the calculations correct.
The fixes bugs related to focus being lost when trying to mute
or mark as read the last row.
This commit adds the support to select multiple dropdown items by inheriting
dropdown list widget and overriding some of it's properties.
The parameters that can be passed along with it are-
- widget_name: The desired name of the widget.
- data: The data that needs to be populated as dropdown items.
- default_text: The default text to be rendered when none of the items is selected.
- on_update: Function to trigger once the filter button is pressed.
- on_close: Function to trigger once the dropdown is successfully closed after filtering.
- value: The default value that is initially selected by user.
- limit: The maximum number of dropdown items to display on button text.
This widget can later be implemented in recent topic view to replace the
several ellipses filter button and also within the organisation user's page
to quickly sort the users list according to their org role.
Add a function which is called before every render to
get the number of items it can render. This can be used by
instance to load custom number of items as per its state.
We allow ListWidget instances to pass functions in opts that can
be called after scrolling to determine when to render.
Also, allow a callback function to be called pre render.
This improves the UX of creating a stream for atleast 1000+ users
realm by showing the the stream creation form much faster than
before.
Search, user addition, scrolling worked smoothly on 15k+
users realm as tested on dev setup.
Also, simplebar is used to replace the default scrollbar.

Now when we want to measure how long a block
of code takes to execute, we just wrap it with
`blueslip.measure_time`, instead of the awkward
idiom from my original commit of getting a callback
function.
My rationale for the original scheme was that I
wanted to minimize diffs and avoid changing
`const` to `let` in a few cases, but I believe
now that the function wrapper is nicer.
In a few cases I just removed the blueslip timing
code, since I was able to confirm on czo that
the times were pretty minimal.
