Setting `credential_source` is used when assuming role credentials --
that is, when running as one role, use the AssumeRole right to become
someone else.
The AWS command-line tools only do this if `role_arn`, the role to
assume, is also set -- if it is not set, it transparently falls
through to IAM role attached to the EC2 instance profile. However,
with the `aws-sdk-go` package, used by Teleport, this configuration
produces an error.
Remove the `credential_source = Ec2InstanceMetadata` line, which isn't
necessary for the AWS CLI, and interferes with Teleport operation.
This script pulls from our previously custom-written emoji strings
and fills in the rest from CLDR. It also removes 4 custom emoji which
collide with some of the new CLDR names (they will now just be called
by their CLDR name).
Fixes#21037.
This is part of fixing #19371. To bulk-add new emoji regularly,
mobile needs to know which servers support which emoji.
`staticfiles_storage.url` generates a unique URL with a hash
based on the file content, which lets mobile know if it needs
to update its locally stored data.
Emoji that we specifically choose names or aliases for will be
stored in this new file so that we can generate emoji_names.py
from the custom names and also CLDR (for the rest).
This new file isn't used for anything yet (no user facing change);
it will be used in future commits.
`postgresql-14.4` is a notable upgrade in the PostgreSQL series, as it
fixes potential database corruption from `CREATE INDEX CONCURRENTLY`
statements which are run while rows are modified[1]. However, it also
requires an upgrade from `libllvm9` to `libllvm10`, which means it is
not installed by a mere `apt-get upgrade`.
Add the `--with-new-pkgs` flag to all of the potentially relevant
`apt-get upgrade` calls, so that this (and similar) packages are
upgraded successfully.

For aliases that will no longer be listed, see the third column of
grep '^L ' zulip-py3-venv/lib/python3.*/site-packages/pytz/zoneinfo/tzdata.zi
Time zones previously set to an alias will be canonicalized on demand.

Wordle has recently become a thing and it uses green, yellow and white (or
black in dark mode) large square unicode characters to let people share their
gameplay. Zulip converts the white and black large square unicode characters to
emojis, but not the green and yellow ones. This causes the Wordle grid to be
misaligned when shared on Zulip.
This commit adds green and yellow large square emojis to our emoji list to fix
the problem.
As a consequence:
• Bump minimum supported Python version to 3.7.
• Move Vagrant environment to Debian 10, which has Python 3.7.
• Move CI frontend tests to Debian 10.
• Move production build test to Debian 10.

The existing callsites of this are via `source` or being inline'd into
the startup of a new host; in both of these cases, the surrounding
script is already `set -eu`. However, if run as a standalone tool, it
should also configure itself to catch checksum failures and other
problems.
This was originally meant to fix the emoji mapping conflict during a
Slack import. In Slack, 🎉 and ㊗️ have different
symbols, but they both map to 🎉 in Zulip prior to this commit.
㊗️ now refers to the Japanese character version, as is
observed in Matrix and Slack.
I expand the fix to include all other Japanese characters. Matrix.org
and Slack already have those characters in their symbol section, and so
this is to reach feature parity.
See the discussion thread in https://chat.zulip.org/#narrow/stream/9-issues/topic/duplicate.20emoji.20in.20data.20import
These changes are all independent of each other; I just didn’t feel
like making dozens of commits for them.

None results in an uninitialized image (that happens to be transparent
most of the time); we want to explicitly initialize the image to
transparent.

Even though this looks like an independently runnable script, it
should not be run independently: a SHA-256 mismatch will fail to stop
the script, unless it was sourced from another script that has ‘set
-e’.

We now organize the pygment language codes into meaningful categories
- default, custom and aliases.
Further the `lang.json` list now contains a dataset extracted from the
"language" section of https://insights.stackoverflow.com/survey/2020
and is prioritized based on current language trends.
New bot avatars are generated with this tool. Having the avatars generated,
we can run generate-integration-docs-screenshot to generate the doc
screenshots.

Thumbor and tc-aws have been dragging their feet on Python 3 support
for years, and even the alphas and unofficial forks we’ve been running
don’t seem to be maintained anymore. Depending on these projects is
no longer viable for us.

The `en_US.UTF-8` locale may not be configured or generated on all
installs; it also requires that the `locales` package be installed.
If users generate the `en_US.UTF-8` locale without adding it to the
permanent set of system locales, the generated `en_US.UTF-8` stops
working when the `locales` package is updated.
Switch to using `C.UTF-8` in all cases, which is guaranteed to be
installed.

I have made `tools/setup/optimize-svg` do the SVG optimization
automatically rather than just telling you the command to run if they
need optimizing. This included adding a `--check` parameter to use in
CI to only check as we previously did rather than actually running the
optimization.
I have also made `tools/setup/optimize-svg` execute
`tools/setup/generate_integration_bots_avatars.py` once it has run the
optimization to ensure it is always ran.
This makes it one less command to run when creating an integration,
but also means that we catch instances where a PNG has just been
copied into the `static/images/integrations/bot_avatars` folder as the
only instance where this won't be run is if `optimize-svg` has not
been run which would be caught in CI.

Replaced methods/functions of moment.js with date-fns library.
The motive was to replace it with a smaller frontend timezone library.
Date-fns ~ 11.51 kb
moment.js ~ 217.87 kb
Some of the format strings change because date-fns encodes them
differently from how moment did.

This fixes a bug where the typeahead did not include the
zulip specific langs (such a `quote`, `spoiler` and `math`)
as these weren't passed to the typeahead's source.

There is only one PostgreSQL database; the "appdb" is irrelevant.
Also use "postgresql," as it is the name of the software, whereas
"postgres" the name of the binary and colloquial name. This is minor
cleanup, but enabled by the other renames in the previous commit.
This moves the puppet configuration closer to the "roles and profiles
method"[1] which is suggested for organizing puppet classes. Notably,
here it makes clear which classes are meant to be able to stand alone
as deployments.
Shims are left behind at the previous names, for compatibility with
existing `zulip.conf` files when upgrading.

There was likely more dependency complexity prior to 97766102df, but
there is now no reason to require that consumers explicitly include
zulip::apt_repository.
Installing an updated linux kernel package, as can happen during the
`apt dist-upgrade` done by the installer, can cause grub to pop up a
prompt to update its configuration file. In an unattended headless
configuration, this will stop the installation.
Explicitly configure apt to be non-interactive, and prefer the newest
configuration, during the install.
We need this information in the frontend to:
* Display the 'view in playground' option for locally echoed messages.
* When we add a UI settings for realm admins to configure their
playground choices, we'll need to use these canonicalized aliases
for displaying the option.
Hence, this tweaks the tool which generates pygments_data.json to contain
the data we need.
Bumping major PROVISION_VERSION since folks need to provision in both
directions.
Tests amended.
Now that all casper tests have been migrated to
puppeteer, there's no need for having casper
related things.
Removed the casperjs package and removed/replaced
casper in few places with puppeteer.
Only removed few of them which I'm confident
about. Also didn't make any changes in docs
as it would be easier to remove them while
adding puppeteer docs.
