This refactors and renames user_ids_muting_topic to accept a parameter
'visibility_policy' and fetch user IDs that have a specific
visibility_policy(provided as the parameter) set for a topic.
This commit changes the error message from "Invalid stream id"
to "Invalid stream ID" for cases where invalid stream IDs are
passed to API endpoints to make it consistent with other similar
error messages.
To avoid an uncaught IntegrityError causing a 500 HTTP response in a
race between two processes trying to mute a topic, we catch the
integrity error and raise the error exception with status 400 we'd
have gotten if the second request had been a bit later.
Fixes#21011.
This is a follow-up to #19388.
We will in the future allow patch requests to change the visibility
of an existing topic, so `last_updated` is better name for this field.
This commit does not affect the API or events in any way, but only the
database.
This fixes a batch of mypy errors of the following format:
'Item "None" of "Optional[Something]" has no attribute "abc"
Since we have already been recklessly using these attritbutes
in the tests, adding assertions beforehand is justified presuming
that they oughtn't to be None.
This renames the test file for muting to have
the term `topic` in it, along with an ambiguously
named helper.
This is a prep change for implementing the mute
users feature.
